Football fans throughout Malaysia had been
preparing themselves for the
final countdown match between Spain and Holland.
What’s more nerve-wrecking for Holland supporters
or fans is the fact that the famed Octopus Paul
had predicted that Spain will win.
What’s astounding is that apparently some supporters
were so distraught over Paul’s prediction,
which has been shockingly accurate,
are sending death threats to poor Paul.
In Germany, there’s a new and popular dish which
were being served in restaurants
all over called ‘Fried Octopus’ – shocking but true!
As Malaysian got ready for a night of party
that leads towards the match at
god forsaken hours of 2.30am,
it didn’t hinder the footballs fans.
Sony Malaysia as the official FIFA partner,
organized a ‘Fan Fiesta’
with a hosts of entertainments, lucky draws and
games to celebrate the finale with the football fans.
The celebration started as early as 8pm
as fans started streaming in
with supported with painted faces of flags
of their supporting country.

were constructed and will be screening the match live.
There were special guests’ appearances by the reigning
Ms Malaysia among many others celebrities including
Andrea Fonseka and performance by Hannah Tan.
Not forgetting the fire people, they don’t breathe out fire b
ut does an acrobatic routine of fire spinning.
By 1am the placed were jam-packed with fans
and supporters that there’s practically no standing room.
As the match began, the crowd cheers on and the excitement of watching the 2010 FIFA World Cup in the company of so many fans
were indeed an experience which is totally out of this world!
It definitely beat watching the game at home!
